Mario Brincat of Downtown Bar beat Ray Caruana of Domus Kids 9-8 in the final to win the second ranking tournament of the season organised by the Malta Pool Association.

It was an exciting final decided on the last frame. Brincat has therefore earned his place in the national team which will be representing Malta in the European Championships in Ireland next February.

Owen Amato, also of Downtown Bar, won the Under 18 category after beating Dylan Cassar of Hamrun Liberty 7-6.

In the Under 21 category, it was Ryan Pisani of Charlo Bar, who triumphed against Neil Chetcuti of Selmun Bar 8-7.

In the Masters over 50s, Alfred Attard and Marcel Micallef, both of Top Gun Bar, finished joint first, while the female category was won by two players of La Cubana Bar, Donna Bugeja and Roberta Cutajar.
