Middlesea Insurance plc has renewed its commitment to financially support The Malta Red Cross Society. The donated money will go towards the training of volunteers, capacity building, upkeep of vehicles and refurbishment of premises.

The presentation took place at Middle Sea House in Floriana in the presence of Christopher Borg, vice-president of Corporate Services. “On behalf of Middlesea Insurance, I am glad that we have this opportunity to sustain our support to the Malta Red Cross Society, a team of people who work relentlessly and voluntarily, in their mission to save and improve lives,” said Mr. Borg. “Supporting and showing our solidarity with such noble causes and worthy organisations is our way of putting into practice our company policy of giving back to the community in which we operate.” He encouraged further support to such societies both in terms of financial support and volunteers.

The Malta Red Cross Society has expressed its gratitude to Middlesea Insurance plc for the continuous support through the years, stating that it is through such support that it can continue to carry out its work for the benefit of the Maltese Society.

The Malta Red Cross Society is a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, a worldwide organisation of volunteers with more than 100 million members all over the world. Its aim is to improve the lives of vulnerable people through services such as First Aid Instruction, Disaster Response, Water Rescue, Ambulance Service and Social Services.
