Michael Busuttil, fifth from left, of St Paul’s Bay Thalassalejn won his third Malta Championship title after beating Michael Casha of Paola Schreiber in the final.

Busuttil had won the title in 1998 and in 2003 when he was a Paola Tarxien player.

Busuttil won the exciting and keen tussle 21-17. The match was controlled by referee George Baldacchino and his assistant Emmanuel Camilleri.

At the end, the president of the federation, Vanni Fabri, presented the trophy to Busuttil.
