The MFA Disciplinary Council yesterday suspended six Premier League players all for one match.

These are Qormi’s Jeffrey Chetcuti, Federico Tisbi of Mosta, Floriana’s Manuel Bartolo, Marsaxlokk’s Florent Raimy, Yessous Camilleri of Balzan, and Birkirkara’s Angus Buhagiar.

In the First Division League, the ill-tempered Cottonera derby left its toll with Vittoriosa’s Leonardo Rocha Dos Santos receiving a two-match ban, with Amadeo Mercieca and Heathcliff Schembri of St.George’s receiving a one-match ban. Birzebbuga’s Kevin Borg was also suspended for one match.
