Thoroughbreds will steal the limelight at the next horse racing meeting next Sunday 6 November starting at 1.30pm.
Seven thoroughbreds will contest the Exotique Challenge Cup final on the long 2,250m distance. The finalists hail from the US, Germany and France and include some of this year’s most consistent thoroughbreds, such as Cheeky Jack, Kimberley Downs, Friarscourt, Ollie Fliptrik and others.
The ten-race card also includes another Class A flat race mainly for horses which did not participate in the Exotique Challenge Cup. Many of them have already won this year, namely Pride of India, Tarruji and Nuage de la Tour, whilst Irish newcomer Little Benny will make his debut.
The trot races will be run over the long 3,140m distance. These include a Premier class race for Malta’s best trotters, featuring Autumn Championship finalist Norman d’Avril, multiple winner Energy Launcher, three newcomers and eight other popular trotters.
The two Gold class races are also extremely balanced. One is reserved for horses closing in on promotion to the Premier class, with Peasant Gallant, Naja in Blue, Ludo de Bellande and Lucky Fan coming from recent wins, and the remainder being expected to give them a good run for their money.
Another exciting meeting is in the offing, with head-to-head tussles being the order of the day.
