The desolate news of my dear friend Charles’ sudden and premature demise in Egypt has left me and his numerous friends totally bereft. The irrevocable thought of not enjoying his genial ‘bonhomie’ is indeed hugely devastating. He will be missed.
Thankfully, I shall thrive on reminiscing about our various fun-filled overseas trips and the sharing of innumerable exquisite fare with our mutual friends. Charles and I shared a ‘healthy’ passion for almost anything edible. Our favourite topics invariably focused on our preferred culinary delicacies. Charles’ annual ‘suckling pig’ offer was avidly anticipated, and he personally dedicated long hours to ensure that the ‘Porky’ was cooked to perfection. Wendy’s gracious hospitality together with her scrumptious salads and her legendry roast potatoes complemented Charles’ efforts admirably.
It was not all fun and games for ‘Mr Foster Clark’, as he untiringly and determinedly dedicated all his endeavours in his arduous quest to steadfastly and increasingly grow the family business into a household brand name on the local and international markets. His significant efforts in his pursuit to successfully achieve and supersede his goals were meritoriously rewarded. Alas, his very frequent business trips abroad deprived his much beloved family and his numerous friends of a lot of ‘Charlie – Quality Time’. Farewell my dear friend!!
Sincere and heartfelt condolences to dear Wendy and her wonderful family.
