The Vodafone Malta Foundation is supporting the Classique Foundation with the production of the Grand Operatic Concert – a gala evening celebrating the most popular arias, duets and orchestral music from the operatic repertoire. The concert will be held on Saturday 19 November at 7.30pm at the Aurora Opera House, Victoria, Gozo.

Two internationally renowned singers – both household names at important opera houses including Milan’s La Scala - are Italian soprano Maria Pia Piscitelli and Italian tenor Francesco Anile. The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will be under the direction of Classique Foundation’s artistic/music director and mentor Joseph Debrincat. The concert will include arias and duets from the most popular operas such as Norma, La Forza del Destino, Adriana Lecouvreur, Carmen, Cavalleria Rusticana, Fedora, Manon Lescaut, Il Trovatore, and I Pagliacci. It will also include the ever popular overtures from Norma and I Vespri Siciliani and the Ballet Music from Faust and La Gioconda.

Tickets are priced at only €10 and €15. Bookings from the Aurora Box Office (Tel: 2155 9452) and from Anthony D’Amato (Tel: 2123 4348). For more details email [email protected].
