San Giljan Giuseppe’s have taken a new and different approach this year in respect of its pre-season land training for its team.

The squad will be preparing for the upcoming 2012 season by means of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).

This pre-season project is being done under the guidance and supervision of Krav Maga national director Keith Galea who is also a personal trainer in this field. Training consists of a three-month schedule from November to January, with varying sessions four to five times a week.

H.I.I.T (High Intensity Interval Training) is a form of training usually practised by many semi-professional and professional athletes/teams who want to take their physical training a step further from the normal training sessions.

All the senior squad is undertaking this new form of training and the players have welcomed this new project with great enthusiasm. Some members of the junior teams have also been selected to participate in this innovative method of training.

The club, together with head coach Karl Izzo, has welcomed Keith Galea as a new training partner and thanked him for his efforts during this period.
