Hamrun Spartans and Sliema Wanderers were the hardest-hit clubs as the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner issued his decisions following the weekend matches.

The Spartans had four players suspended with striker Gaetan Spiteri receiving a four-match ban, Lee James Agius being banned for three games, Kevin Sammut and Rupert Mangion one match each.

Hamrun’s first match is against Valletta on Saturday.

Sliema Wanderers had three players suspended for one match, that is tomorrow’s clash against Mqabba. They are Josef Mifsud, Danial Mitev and Steve Bezzina.

Eight other players also received a one-match ban.

These are Leighton Grech of Birkirkara, Marcelo Mariano Dias and Luis Edison dos Santos of Hibernians, Joseph Borg of Floriana, Stuart Duff and Luke Sciberras of Qormi, Caio Garcia Suguino of Tarxien Rainbows and Ian Azzopardi of Valletta.
