Blinkered

Malta Independent Saturday, 26 November 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 16 years ago

Reading Daphne’s article on Thursday, I could just imagine the problem she had trying to find ways how to diminish the very positive effect which Dr Joseph Muscat’s excellent speech on the budget, must have had on those who do not wear blinkers, as Mrs Caruana Galizia has been wearing for decades.

Daphne could not go further than the 18th proposal from the 51 solutions Dr Muscat mentioned in his speech. I suggest to Mrs Caruana Galizia in her next article, to try and go through the unending list of previous budget promises made by Dr Gonzi and his Finance Minister Tonio Fenech, which Dr Muscat mentioned in his speech, which were not implemented, thus rendering this last budget speech irrelevant, since it is a certainty that a number of the “measures” mentioned will remain on the paper they were written on. Poor Daphne.
