Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich, two points ahead of defending champions Borussia Dortmund are seeking to maintain their top place in the standings.

Bayern, who lost at home to Dortmund last weekend, have a tricky trip to Mainz tomorrow.

Dortmund travel to neighbouring Gelsenkirchen to visit fourth-place Schalke today.

While Bayern advanced to the last 16 in the Champions League by beating Villarreal 3-1, Dortmund are on the verge of being knocked out after losing at Arsenal 2-1. Midfielder Sven Bender broke his jaw in London and will be out for two months.

Fifth-place Werder host Stuttgart, who are one slot lower, tomorrow.

In other matches today, Nuremberg host Kaiserslautern, Hoffenheim meet Freiburg, Augsburg plays Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen visit Hertha Berlin and Hamburger SV travel to Hannover.
