Bird Trapping

Malta Independent Sunday, 27 November 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The law against the trapping of songbirds is being broken all over the countryside, and if the government wants to stop being made a fool of, there is a simple solution.

Each and every bird-trapping site is known to the government, so why not legislate to the effect that each trapping station is to be planted with three or four gharar trees instead of having nets all over the place.

In this way the countryside will be greener and the songbirds safer. Over to you, Minister.
