Over the years many Maltese have left the Islands behind and moved to towns and cities all over the world.  In most of the places where they have settled they set up groups so that they can continue to celebrate the Islands they left behind.  The Maltese Heritage group is one of those groups, although we are new.  The group was set up to bring Maltese people living in the south west of England closer together.  Unlike London, the Maltese living here are spread far and wide over a considerable distance, which makes finding them very hard to do.

I am writing this letter to the people of Malta and Gozo asking that if you have family or friends that live in the south west of the UK, that you are next in contact with them, you can let them know about us. Many Maltese have families and friends living in the UK, and some of those live in cities, towns and villages in the south west region.  I hope that if you are one of those families you can spread the word.
