Two interesting all-trot race cards will be held at the Marsa racetrack next Sunday December and on Thursday 8 December (public holiday), both starting at 1.30pm.
The highlight of Sunday’s meeting is the race reserved for Malta’s top (Premier) class trotters. Many of these have just competed in the French trotters’ championship or in the President’s Cup, and include in-form horses such as Energy Launcher and Anguz R.C., and other quality trotters in search of their best form.
The 8 December meeting is entirely dedicated to the SECF championships semi-finals, reserved for French horses. Two semi-finals will be held from each of the Premier, Gold, Silver and Bronze classes with five horses from each race making it to the final.
The quality of trotters in the Prix de Vincennes (Premier class) is impressive, featuring trotters which enjoyed a good reputation in France and have already shown their worth in Malta.
These include current Tazza l-Kbira champion Kakisis, Prix de Vincennes winners Joker de Choisel, Madis Boy and Master Perrine, Summer Championship winner Major Chaleonnais and all other participants.
On Saturday afternoon, Malta’s champion driver Noel Baldacchino will represent Malta at the legendary French racetrack of Vincennes in Paris, in an important international race which will feature well-known drivers from 14 different countries. We are convinced that Noel will do a great job in demonstrating our drivers’ standard on the international stage.
