The three local international referees have all been appointed by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) to officiate in the upcoming rounds of the European Cups.

This is the first appointment for the three international volleyball referees for this season.

The first appointment will see Frankie Tanti travelling to Slovenia to be the first referee of the match between local Calcit Kamnik and Ukrainians Severodonchanka Severodonec.

This will be a home match from the second round of the Ladies’ Challenge Cup. Tanti will be accompanied by a Bosnian referee, namely M. Ivana Bartula.

Nello Calleja will also be officiating in a second round match from the same competition, the Ladies’ Challenge Cup, this time round in Innsbruck, Austria, between local team Tirol Innsbruck and German challengers VfB 91 Suhl. Calleja will be accompanying Miroslav Milinovic from Croatia.

Then it will be Marvic Micallef’s turn to officiate in a second round match from the Men’s Challenge Cup between Austria’s hotVolleys Vienna and Pokka A.E. Karava of Cyprus.

The home match between these two teams will be played on 14 December with the return in Cyprus earmarked one week later.
