Local international basketball referee Bernard Vassallo has received another FIBA nomination this season following earlier games in Nantes, Venice and Zagreb during November.
In fact, tomorrow Vassallo will referee the FIBA EuroLeague Group A match in France between hosts and French top team Bourges and the Russian powerhouse Ekaterinburg.
This is the ninth day of the FIBA Euroleague group stage of the competition and presently Ekaterinburg are sharing the top spot of the eight-team group with Valencia with six wins from eight games whereas Bourges, with three wins, are in the fifth place and in dire need of wins to qualify with the top four.
In the first round, Ekaterinburg had emerged 68-50 winners over Bourges in Russia.
At the same time, the other local international referee Gordon Barbara will be travelling to Turkey where on Thursday he will officiate the FIBA EuroCup game in Adana between Botas and Dynamo (Russia).
