Since 2008 Table Tennis Nursery Malta has been committed to developing the skills of junior players through the coaching programmes it has laid out.

Operating from two centres, equipped with over 20 tables, state of the art facilities and professional coaches the school has succeeded to bring its students in the front line of the sport.

Presently TTN is also set up with five teams all composed of its students who, on a regular basis, compete in the national league. TTN holds its own closed competitions, namely, the Donic Grand Prix which runs over six annual competitions. Coaching sessions are based on, technique, ball control, speed, footwork, power, services, physical fitness and mental preparation. Fun games are also part of a typical session.

International training camps at category A centres are also organised so that students broaden their knowledge of the sport and also have the opportunity to practise with foreign players.

Table Tennis Nursery is proud to announce that as from January 2012 it will be expanding operations to offer Table Tennis coaching services at De La Salle College Sports Complex.

Boys and girls aged between 9 and 14 years will have the opportunity to practise the sport seriously at the new centre. TTN promises to offer top quality coaching, fun and competition.

TTN will also be seeking to bring forward the game in Cottonera by means of other events such as events for adults including leisure table tennis.

Director of TTN David Pace told us that this project has been part of the vision he has for TTN and for table tennis in general, Pace said: “I believe that De La Salle College is a hub for hidden talents, many of our top existing students hail from the sport oriented College, in fact the present u13 National rank no1 Jurgen Sammut has been receiving coaching from us since he first picked up a bat.”

In the beginning the school will be receiving a limited number of applications to ensure and maintain high standards therefore enrollment will be seen to on a first come basis.
