Last weekend young karting driver Gianluca Dingli of BRM Virtu Ferries Racing Team was once again at the Pista Sole Luna in Vittoria, Sicily, preparing for the next karting season in Sicily and Northern Italy. 

After achieving second place in the Rotax Max Championship under 30, third overall in the Regional Championship in Sicily and ninth in the Italian Championship out of 133 drivers, he was once again under the guidance of his team manager Mario Lena who will assist him in the 2012 karting season. 

Another achievement for Gianluca is going to be the assistance of Charlie Camilleri (Zoqdi Racing Team) who will be helping him tune his engines. 

This year Gianluca is also one of the karting  instructors of Skola Sports organised by Kunsill Malti Ghall Isport at Badger Karting in which he is passing his racing experience to other young drivers.   

At the weekend he had a mixture of weather conditions in which he had sunshine and rain and this is the most difficult task to make different set ups in the most technical track in Sicily. 

Gianluca thanked all his sponsors, especially Virtu Ferries, who will be sponsoring him once again in the 2012 season.
