Malta Independent Thursday, 15 December 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

A great finals meeting is scheduled for next Sunday starting at 2pm. This will feature no less than five finals reserved for French trotters, one for each class, sponsored by the French trotting association, the SECF.

The main attraction will be the Prix de Vincennes final for Premier class trotters, with nine popular horses competing for the big prize. These include current Tazza l-Kbira champion Kakisis, past Prix de Vincennes winner Joker de Choisel and other horses which enjoyed successful careers in France, such as Nevaio des Bordes, Mig of the Wood, Milord Barbes, Nelson du Val and others.

The Prix d’Enghien features nine Gold class finalists aged between nine and 12 years. These include eight race winner Magnifique Sablais, Autumn Championship Gold class winner Naja In Blue, Prix de Cabourg winner Lys des Etroits, exciting recent imports Ouest du Vivier and Oscar de la Vallee and other valid trotters.

The other three championship finals, those for the Prix de Cabourg, the Prix de Cagnes Sur Mer and the Prix de Caen also feature various interesting trotters in great form, which have qualified for the finals through a gruelling series of qualifiers.

The Malta Racing Club is preparing a colourful backdrop for these finals, with this meeting also being attended by senior SECF officials.

A truly exciting meeting which should not be missed.
