The Victoria Hotel in Sliema has been granted an ECO certification by MTA’s Green Committee. The certification was awarded following a rigorous audit conducted by the Green Committee who will now be endorsing the Hotel’s environmental programme and also host it on MTA’s corporate website.

The Eco-certification underlines The Victoria Hotel’s commitment towards the environment and sustainable tourism. This is the third time that the Green Committee has certified the Victoria Hotel and also follows last year’s short-listing as a finalist for the Visions/DestiNet European Sustainable Tourism VESTAS – Awards towards sustainable tourism.

Speaking about the award Victoria Hotel Manager, Kevin Callus, said that “Being eco-certified for the second time running is a great honour and achievement for the Victoria Hotel as it underlines our drive and commitment towards the implementation of eco-friendly policies. These policies have resulted in great savings for the hotel and the local environment, thereby enhancing our commitment to sustainable tourism.”
