The 13th issue of Pitpass, the official annual magazine of the McLaren F1 Club (Malta), was launched during the club’s Christmas buffet dinner which was held at the Serjeant’s Mess Restaurant, Corradino.
The magazine, which is distributed free of charge to all the club’s members and fast lane enthusiasts, provides a comprehensive review of the 2011 F1 World Championship written by Ian Ciangura.
This year’s edition, in addition to the facts and statistics on F1 racing, contains a very interesting article written by motorsport correspondent Godwin Cini on Emerson Fittipaldi, McLaren’s first world champion.
Cini also gives his views on the 2011 F1 championship, while Reg Fitzpatrick comments on the Woking F1 team’s beginning.
Another regular correspondent, John Caruana, shares his views on this year’s championship and concludes that McLaren was the most serious contender to Red Bull’s dominance.
The club’s sixth tour to Silverstone is given ample space spread on two pages in an article written by Johann J. Fenech, titled ‘Silverstone 2011 – An Unforgettable Experience’.
Gozitan club member Jason Sultana gives in-depth information about ‘F1 engine start up procedure’, while Honorary Chairperson Penelope Ciangura takes a look at McLaren’s 700 Grands Prix milestone.
