The handsome sum of €20,370 was collected during last Monday’s ‘Gowl ghall-Istrina’ activity organised by Net TV’s Replay and One TV’s L-Argument, with the collaboration of the Malta FA and the Youth FA at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium. Premier clubs and First Division clubs contributed €500 and €250 respectively for a total of €9,000. A Premier League local selection, a first division selection and a Premier League foreign selection took part in a triangular tournament which was kicked off by Clinton Buhagiar and Christian Micallef (L-Argument and Replay respectively). The event also served to mark the 30th anniversary since the inauguration of the National Stadium. On this occasion, the MFA deemed it fit to honour players and officials who have served the game of football during the past 30 years, among them, former Hibs, Valletta and Malta defender David Carabott, the most capped Maltese player (122). He is seen being presented with a memento by HE the President, Dr George Abela, himself a former MFA president, in the presence of Norman Darmanin Demajo, the Malta FA President
