The newly elected president of the Malta Triathlon Association, Cyprian Dalli, has issued his first message since taking over from Manuel Azzopardi who decided to quit his post some days ago.

Dalli said he was honoured to have become president of the Malta Triathlon Association.

He thanked all past members of the Executive Committee and the Council of the Malta Triathlon Association, most importantly his predecessor Manuel Azzopardi and Fabianne Azzopardi, who were stepping down though promising to continue helping the association.

He also thanked those who supported him as well as those who had already approached him and his colleagues offering their assistance.

He reiterated that his main point of his project for the association was to consolidate the sport by giving a central role to the athlete.
