Mgarr U 1

Mdina K 0

The result gives Mgarr a lift, while for Mdina it could mean the end of their hopes to keep challenging for the top places.

Mgarr had more of the ball and after having a Chris Abela goal disallowed, they scored the winner on 28 minutes. It was a superb goal scored by Peter Grima, who ripped the opposing defence apart before beating Aquilina for the decisive goal.

In the second half, Mgarr controlled the match as Mdina’s efforts proved to be futile. Late in the match Mgarr were unlucky when Kevin pace hit the post.
