Gudja returned to winning ways after they managed to win against Zurrieq with a goal late in the game.
Gudja worked more than expected to secure the three points although Zurrieq weren’t that much dangerous throughout the match. With this win Gudja kept the pace with leaders Gzira United.
The first action of note came on the 23rd minute when a shot from Johan Briffa finished close to the post. Gudja had their first real opportunity on the 37th minute when Jeffrey Mallia concluded high from outside the box.
A minute later Timothy Thomas made a wall-pass with Sammut but his finishing was poor and he shot off target. In stoppage time, Gudja had another chance when Timothy Thomas crossed a low ball to Jeffrey Mallia but he shot off target again.
Gudja continued where they had left in the end of the first half when on the 58th minute Trevor Thomas crossed a good ball where there was Timothy Thomas who headed the ball but found the crossbar saving Zurrieq. From the rebound Peter Sammut headed the ball but found Alden who turned the ball into a corner with a beautiful save.
On the 78th minute a free-kick from long range by Guazzo hit the crossbar. Gudja broke the deadlock on the 85th minute when Sammut crossed the ball in the middle of the box where there was Trevor Thomas who headed the ball past Alden.

After drawing with Zebbug 0-0 in their last outing, Gzira returned to winning ways after with a convincing win defeating Attard 3-0 to keep their five point cushion on top of the table.
Attard found it difficult to keep the pace with Gzira especially after conceding their first goal in the early minutes.
In fact Gzira couldn’t have had a better start when after just 12 seconds when new recruit Borges Corriea headed to Ewurum who passed to Simon Shead and with a low shot, the latter put past Ubberden.
On the 27th minute a shot from Borges was saved by Ubberden. Gzira doubled their lead seven minutes later when Borges Corriea gave the ball to Ryan Deguara who beat Ubberden with a first time shot.
Gzira could have made them three on the 41st minute when Cocks passed to Shead: the latter passed a first-time ball to Ewurum, the Nigerian tried to lob over Ubberden but the ball finished over the bar.
Attard could have reduced the gap on the 50th minute when a free-kick from Kurt Zahra, found Sanssialtesi who headed wide. Four minutes later Ubberden saved a good shot from Borges Corriea.
On the 58th minute Ubberden turned into a corner a shot from Ewurum. On the 61st minute a shot from outside the box by Pilipov was saved without difficulty by Agius.
Gzira scored the third goal five minutes later when Simon Shead recieved a good cross and put past Ubberden to record a personal brace.
After this goal, Gzira kept control of the match and secured another win.

A goal scored just two minutes before stoppage time denied Mellieha an important three points from their encounter against Zebbug, and they had to make do with just one point which still keeps them in the third place in the standings with 26 points.
Zebbug opened the scoring after nine minutes, when Uchenna Anyanwu fled the Northerners’ defence and hit home with a powerful drive.
On 21 minutes, Anyanwu's shot was temporarily blocked by the goalkeeper, but from the rebound Mark Brincat tapped the ball home.
Five minutes later, the same Brincat was sent off with a freekick being awarded for Mellieha. Taylor's shot was blocked by the defence, but from the rebound Wayne Borg St John pulled one back for Mellieha.
Three minutes before the end of the first half, Mercieca caught Borg’s foot in the area, with the referee awarding a penalty for Melleha. From the spot, Phill Taylor did not miss.
On 45 minutes, Mellieha took the lead for the first time during the match, when Thiago Loquete took Zebbug's defence by surprise with a long-distance drive from an acute angle.
Yet when all seemed lost for Zebbug, Charlon Sammut took the Blues' defence by surprise and, after a good run along the left flank, beat Gauci with a low shot, thus saving the day for his side.

San Gwann had an easy win over bottom-side Senglea when they beat their opponents 3-0, thus rising to the fourth place in the standings with a total of 20 points, tied with Mellieha.
This was the third consecutive loss for the side from Cottonera, who remain in the last place on the grid with just six points.
The match was pretty much one-way traffic, with San Gwann being the only ones to test their adversaries' defensive skills. They opened the scoring 27 minutes into the match thanks to Shaun Vella who beat the opposing defence with a long-distance drive.
A few moments before the break, San Gwann increased their lead when from a corner, Richard Attard rose above everyone to direct a looping header past goalkeeper Bartolo.
Six minutes from stoppage time, San Gwann sealed the three points, when Shaun Vella crossed in Ryan Zammit's direction, with the latter concluding at the back of the net.

Siggiewi registered a very important win over opponents Gharghur with the score of 3-2, thanks to a goal which was dramatically scored just six minutes before stoppage time.
Thanks to this success, Siggiewi lifted themselves to the fifth place in the standings tied with the same Gharghur, with a total of 19 points.
Benjamin Perry Acton opened the scoring for Gharghur with a header just nine minutes into the match. Siggiewi equalised five minutes before the break, when Roderick Farrugia fled Gharghur's defence and beat the goalkeeper with a low shot.
Siggiewi took the lead for the first time in the 62nd minute, when after receiving from Mark Camilleri, Jason Camilleri tapped the ball at the back of the net. Yet this advantage did not last long, as in the 65th minute Gharghur levelled again thanks to Benjamin Perry Acton’s long distance drive.
When it looked as if both teams would take a point each home, Roderick Farrugia earned all the three points for his side in the 84th minute, when he took Gharghur's defence by surprise with a powerful shot from an acute angle.

Msida obtained a good win against Luqa St Andrew’s which enabled them to overtake their opponents in the standings.
De Androde scored twice for the Saints from Msida, one of them a penalty and the third was netted by Crupi.

Kirkop’s hopes of improving their place in the standings were dealth a setback as St Venera beat them by two clear goals.
Kirkop therefore remain in seventh place on 16 points, the same as Siggiewi and St Venera.
Emanuel Muscat opened the scoring for the Saints on the 36th minute and Dalton Wingfield added a second in the 43rd.
