Birkirkara FC yesterday loaned out two of their players on the last day of the January transfer market.

Under-21 international Terence Vella joined Mosat for the remainder of the season, after already having played with the club in 2009/10 in Division 1.

Another under-21 international, Leighton Grech, was loaned to former club Vittoriosa Stars and will play in Division 1 until the end of the season.

Both Vella and Grech were given few playing minutes under coach Paul Zammit.

Meanwhile Birkirkara also released Dragan Perisic.

The Stripes had already transferred Andrew Decesare and Trevor Cilia to Sliema Wanderers on Monday and got back striker Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza in return.

Also yesterday, Mqabba signed midfielder David Fenech from Balzan Youths, who in turn secured the services of striker Glenn Bonello from Division 1 side St George’s.
