Balzan Youths’ Pedro Dos Santos Calcado won the BOV Player of the Month award for January.

The Brazilian Striker, affectionately known as Pedrinho was an essential asset for Balzan to remain unbeaten in their three outings during the month of January and to consolidate their contention for a slot in the BOV Championship pool.

With two goals in Balzan’s 2-2 draw against Mqabba and another goal in their 2-1 victory over Sliema, Dos Santos Calcado was the obvious choice for this month’s award.

Calcado will be presented with the award before Balzan’s next league match against Birkirkara on Sunday.
