After the recent signing of Portuguese striker Guti, Luxol St Andrews have continued in their quest to strengthen their squad with the signing of Namibian right back player Miguel Hamutenya from Glasgow Rangers. This official presentation took place in the presence of Mark Grima, director of Canas Y Tapas restaurant in St Julians, who are the main sponsors of Luxol St Andrews Fc and Team Manager Mike Falzon.
Scottish football agent Jonathan Hope commented: “We explored every option to obtain a work permit for Miguel Hamutenya for Glasgow Rangers. This proved to be extremely difficult which baffles me. However after receiving permission from Rangers, I explored European options for Miguel. Glasgow Rangers need to be praised for their efforts in doing their upmost to secure this document. After evaluating the best country for Miguel to develop, it was no question he would be best placed with Luxol St Andrews in Malta`.
“After a meeting with St Andrews president Paul Falzon, I was left in no doubt that this was the correct club for Miguel. Luxol St Andrews is a family club and we both felt very well received.
“I am confident Miguel will be looked after here and more importantly given the correct coaching to develop into a better player.
