The latest MSV Life National League rolls on at the Eden SuperBowl, with week three seeing Div I leaders Ramis eke out a two-point cushion having, claimed a 100% win over Supreme.

Turu’s Knights were also big winners against M.I.A. to advance to second, while okmalta.com slipped one place to third, after dropping two points in their win against St. James Hospital. There were two tied clashes among the week’s fixtures, namely Rogantino’s vs The Clan, and Fina vs J Grima & Sons.

Ramis’ big win against Supreme allowed them to put a marginal space between them and the rest of the field, as other results also went in their favour.

Supreme may as well have take the night off, as Ramis began the rout with an easy 702-816 game one win, and then went four up with an even better 730-866 win in the second. Ramis were heading for the series of the week, and achieved it (2511) with their 748-829 game three score line. Rankin Camilleri (Ramis), 656, male bowler of the week. Anthony Paris (Supreme), 543.

Turu’s Knights edged up to second place by also bagging all eight points, against M.I.A. who are yet to claim a single point this season. The Knights had an easy time of taking the early points, winning the first of the set 685-753, and also the second in very similar style, 685-755 the game score.

Game three was the closest if the series, but Turu’s clinched it 721-759 to round off an incredibly consistent series. Ryan Grech (Turu’s Knights), 590. Alfred Pulis (M.I.A.), 520.

Defending champions okmalta.com slipped one place to third, in spite of their 2-6 victory over St. James Hospital. In a match that swung to and fro as the series progressed, okmalta.com opened the scoring with a big 665-810 game one result, but St James Hospital then did well to almost cancel that advantage out with a 774-651 game two equaliser. The tables were turned again in game three, which saw the champions rally to bag a 624-782 clincher, for the match. Neil Sullivan (okmalta.com), 610. Shawn Bugeja (St. James Hospital), 512.

Rogantino’s vs The Clan produced the first of two week three draws, and the clash started with an opening win for Rogantino’s (696-643). Game two was very close, falling to The Clan 747-753 to make it two-all, and they also picked up the game three points with a 685-724. Two wins weren’t enough for the match victory however, as Rogantino’s eight pin series advantage secured the tie (2,128-2,120). Malcolm Pace (Rogantino’s), 553. Philip Gruppetta (The Clan), 528.

Fina vs J. Grima & Co was the other tied match, and by the narrowest possible of margins. J. Grima & Sons drew first blood with a close 755-761 win, and also won game two, 743-782 to double their lead. Fina then finally responded with a 769-723 win in game three, incredibly taking the series points and forcing the draw by just a solitary pin (2267-2266). Justin Caruana Scicluna (Fina), 624. Colin Attard (J. Grima & Sons), 545.
