The 2011 TTAM Christmas dinner and Awards ceremony was held at the Victoria Palace Hotel in Sliema recently.

Certificates of attendance to the Academy Summer School 2011 were presented to all those students who formed part of the three month summer school programme held at the Academy. All through summer 2011, the Academy brought over as resident coach, Spanish coach Pedro Marcos and also Jesus Alvarez who is a specialised fitness coach.

The presentation of the trophies to the winners of the various ranking tournaments held during the year was the main item for the evening. The trophies were presented by Academy coaches, committee members and guests of honour including representatives of the Academy’s main sponsors, Powerade and Sports Experience.

Last but not least, TTAM Awards were presented to the winners of the special annual awards that recognise the many achievements and efforts undertaken by the students during the year. Some of these were: Best Achiever won by Andrea Portelli; Star of the Future Award won by Kayleigh Farrugia, Best Improved Newcomer won by Isaac Darmanin, Best Improved Girls won by Therese Genovese, Best Technical Player won by Steve Bugeja and the Sports Experience Special Award 2011 won by Marcus Portelli.
