The Maltese national pool team added another two wins to their positive start at the European Championships in Dublin.

After having beaten Belgium 9-6 in the opening match on Monday, Malta’s team went on to beat Scotland and Northern Ireland yesterday. The match against Scotland was a close one with Malta winning 8-7 while in the second match yesterday Malta dominated the Northern Irish for a convincing result of 11-4.

The best Maltese players as yet are Clint Azzopardi and Mario Brincat who won seven out of the nine matches played.
