Malta Independent Sunday, 4 March 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The three local TV stations, TVM, One and Net, will all be dedicating most of their time to the last day of the Premier League’s first phase which ends this afternoon.

Kontrattakk on TVM will give special attention to the hot derby between Valletta and Florianaapart, of course, from the Saturday matches and today’s other match between Birkirkara and Hamrun S.

Meanwhile, on l-Argument on One TV, Hibernians’s offensive player Andrew Cohen will be rewarded as the programme’s Atlas player of the month. A special feature on this prolific Hibs and national team player will be aired today.

The programme’s main discussion will focus on the Premier League especially on yesterday’s decisive matches which will determine the teams in the Championship Pool and those whose destiny lies in the Relegation Pool.

Qormi, Balzan, Valletta and Floriana will be under the spotlight during tonight’s Replay on Net Television. Qormi and Balzan battled it out for a Championship Pool berth yesterday, whereas Valletta and Floriana will meet today at 4pm in their pursuit towards winning yet another derby. Discussing the last fixture of the second round will be Paul Spiteri (Vice-President of Valletta), Johann Said (President of Floriana), George Borg (President of Balzan Youths) and Redino Apap (President of Qormi).

During tonight’s programme, Replay will also feature highlights from last Tuesday’s big game between B’Kara and Mosta from the women’s league. The stripes are edging closer to win this year’s championship as they only need two points from next Tuesday’s match against Pembroke Athleta.
