Bank of Valletta is the main sponsor of the 2012 International One Metre (IOM) Open National Championship being organised by the Malta Model Boats Association.

The event is being held at Pretty Bay in Birzebbugia between 15and 18 March and will see one metre radio-controlled sailing boats race on a standard Olympic course adjacent to the Birzebbugia waterpolo pitch.

The Bank’s support for sport in Malta includes both local and international sporting events. Efforts are focused on driving interest and participation in popular sports such as football, water-polo and basketball as well as creating awareness and promoting growth in other sporting disciplines
