Malta’s Under 21 girls lost their last commitment in the European Championship in Ireland on Sunday, losing 65-22 to tournament winners England.
The Maltese had a good start and were close to their more illustrious opponents till the 30th minute, but then England took control and went on to build a handsome win.
England won the tournament ahead of Wales. Malta was third, above N. Ireland.
It is to be remembered that the Maltese girls had beaten the N. Ireland side in their opening encounter.
Malta team player Holly Robinson was named as the best player of the tournament.
