Free Entrance to Għar Dalam and Domvs Romana for San Gużepp

Heritage Malta will be opening two of its sites – Għar Dalam in Birżebbuġa and the Domvs Romana in Rabat – for free to the general public tomorrow, a public holiday in honour of St Joseph,

In addition to the free admission, visitors will also be able to participate in free tours of the sites. Tours of Għar Dalam will be conducted by an actor interpreting the historical figure of Giuseppe Despott, an early 20th century natural scientist and the first museum curator of Natural History in Malta, and of the Għar Dalam. Tours start at 11am, 1pm, and at 3pm.

At the Domvs Romana, tours in Maltese will commence at 10.30am and at 2.30pm.

During the event, the public will also have the opportunity to join and become a member of Heritage Malta at discounted rates. Membership benefits include the possibility of visiting all of Heritage Malta’s sites for free, except for the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, for which tickets are available at a 50 per cent discount off the normal ticket price. Throughout the year, Heritage Malta also organises special events specifically for members.

The sites’ doors will be open from 9am to 5pm and last admissions will be at 4.30pm.
