Reading Daphne’s latest article: ‘Any moment now, and Jeffrey will streak across the floor’, confirmed, for the umpteenth time, that this “refined” (!) lady from Bidnija, is an expert in gutter politics!

Besides her attempt to ridicule Dr Pullicino Orlando and Franco Debono (did Lawrence Gonzi appeal to her to stop harming GonziPN with her articles about GonziPN dissidents?), Daphne just couldn’t resist her envy towards those intelligent and attractive young women who contested the local council elections on the PL ticket, and quite a number of whom got elected.

Of those attractive young women Daphne singled out the new mayor of Qormi, described as “a 23-year-old ‘ragazze immagine’ with far too much foundation and eye-shadow”. Without mentioning her name, this ‘refined’ lady from Bidnija ,  also had a swipe at Joseph Muscat’s wife, Michelle, referring to her “Gucci print wellies”. How Daphne hates seeing Michelle’s far superior charisma and intelligence!

But Daphne’s dubious standards came mostly to the fore in her final sentence, where she reacted to the words “Gonzi’s wife” used in some article in Maltastar. Daphne wrote: “Maybe it’s not misogyny. Maybe it’s just the appalling manners of people raised in the gutter who think that buying an Alpha Romeo and a North Face jacket (and some Gucci-print silver wellies) is enough to get them out of it” - a clear rerfernce to Dr Muscat’s wife Michelle! This clearly shows who is truly still living in the gutter.
