On Friday the Malta Stock Exchange Index gained 0.06 per cent to 2,972.092 points as five equities were negotiated across 34 deals for a total value of €145,207. Four equities were positive and one was negative.
GO plc was the best performer of the day as its share price appreciated by 2.5 per cent to €0.800 on a single deal of 1,200 shares.
FIMBank plc gained 2.3 per cent or 0.020 to $0.870 as 54,369 shares were negotiated across seven deals.
The share price of HSBC Bank Malta plc appreciated by 0.08 per cent or 0.002 to €2.502 as 2,155 shares were traded across three deals.
Malta International Airport plc saw its share price gain 0.5 per cent to €1.700 as 30,812 shares were negotiated across 14 deals.
Meanwhile Bank of Valletta plc was the only negative performer of the session as its share price dropped by 0.6 per cent to €2.220 when 22,874 shares were negotiated across nine deals.
In the corporate bond market 15 deals were carried out as 11 bonds were negotiated for a total value of €56,657. The 7.15% Mediterranean Investments Holding 2015/17 was the only positive performer as its price gained 0.09 per cent to €99.100 on a single deal of 2,500. Meanwhile the 5.35% Bank of Valletta 2019 lost most ground as its price dropped by 0.9 per cent to €103.010 on a single deal of 2,500. The other negative performers were the 4.25% FIMBank 2013 and the 6% Simonds Farsons Cisk 2017/20.
In the government bond market 20 deals were carried out for a total value of €2,802,953. The 5.1% MGS 2022 was the best performer of the session as its price gained by 0.08 per cent to €106.610 on a single deal of 42,395. The other positive performers were the 5.1% MGS 2014 III and the 5.9% MGS 2015 II. Meanwhile the 5.2% MGS 2020 lost most ground during the session as its price dropped by 0.3 per cent to €108.540 on a single deal of 23,294.
