Very recently we have witnessed much road works in Locker Street and St Anthony Street in Tigné. Most of this was done meticulously, but one just wonders how the work in a specific area of the lower section of St Anthony Street (between Triq Markizi Zimmermann Barbaro and Tigné Seafront) was not considered as being somewhat dangerous, to say the least that is!
The road, by the new stairs installed on the sidewalk, opposite a private garage, appears to be what can only be described as subsiding. A heavy loaded truck or bus using this road could very easily lose control because of this ‘black spot’ and end up causing damage, most probably serious damage not only to property, but also to pedestrians.
The authority that was responsible for these works is strongly advised to look into this ‘black spot’ immediately, before a serious accident occurs. It is a very dangerous spot. Immediate action is recommended please.
