It was against Syria that the Maltese players obtained the best results with Edward Baldacchino and Alex Soler losing 3-1 against Sanou and Baath respectively. Andrew Gambina lost 3-0 against Mosslly.
Against Puerto Rico, the Maltese had some hopes of even managing a lone victory, but their hopes were dashed to the ground as they lost 3-0.
