In line with its Sustainability Strategy, Banif Bank (Malta) was proud to join Banif – Financial Group and support Earth Hour, an initiative, launched globally by WWF – World Wildlife Fund, which aims to increase public awareness on the problem of climate change.

To this effect, Banif Bank (Malta) turned off non-essential lights of its branches yesterday between 8:30 and 9:30pm.

Banif – Investment Bank, Açoreana, Banif Mais, BanifServ, Banif Rent, and Banif Bank (Brazil) also participated in this initiative.

As highlighted in its environmental policy, the bank takes an active part in a number of initiatives throughout the year to demonstrate its concern about the great challenges, in terms of sustainability of our planet. Some of these initiatives include providing financial products that promote better environmental practices, offering free internet banking to its clients and optimising eco-efficiency through practices that promote a more efficient use of energy.
