Flight Training

Malta Independent Wednesday, 4 April 2012, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Reference is made to the article entitled ‘European Pilot Academy invests in flight simulator’ (TMID, 16 March).

It is reported in your newspaper, with reference to European Pilot Academy, that “it is the only flight training organisation licensed by the Civil Aviation Directorate” and further that “the training portfolio ranges from Air Cadets to Advanced Air Cadet and ab-initio student pilot through JAA-Airline Transport Pilots Licence”. These statements are factually incorrect.

Diamond Flight School Limited has been approved by the Civil Aviation Directorate on 16 February, 2012 as a Flight Training Organisation and is authorised to conduct courses leading to the Private Pilot’s Licence, Commercial Pilot’s Licence, Multi Engine Piston Rating and Night Rating. European Pilot Academy is not authorised to conduct courses leading to the Commercial Pilot‘s Licence or Multi Engine Piston Rating.
