Valletta’s international defender Stve Borg and Hibernians’ Jackson Lime will miss next Saturday’s top of the table clash between leaders Valletta and second placed Hibernians.

Both players were among eight players suspended yesterday by the MFA Disciplinary Commission. The other six players who received a one-match ban are Sliema’s Clifford Gatt Baldacchino, Qormi’s Abubakar Bello-Osagie, Balzan’s Rodrick Farrugia, Hamrun’s striker Gaetan Spiteri, Mqabba’s David Fenech, and Floriana’s Joseph Borg.

The same Commission also removed Hibernians goalkeeper Mario Muscat from captain for a one-month period.

In the First Division League four players received a one-match suspension. These are Naxxar’s captain Victor Bellia, Zejtun’s Ryan Cauchi, Vittoriosa’s Kevin Michael Robinson, and Andreas Galea of St. Patrick.
