The third leg of the Agones Trail Running league was held recently.

It was held after the Night Trail race and the 10 km second race around Delimara. The 6.5 Km trail planned around the Mistra-Selmun area was made more interesting as the trail itself was not marked. Athletes had to orientate themselves using basic mapping skills to find checkpoints on the way.

The males’ category was won by Kevin Muscat who is now leading the League classification after three events, followed by Ryan Saliba and David Bonnici.

The females section was won by Karen Scerri followed by Loraine Xuereb and Caroline Zammit. In the females section Caroline Zammit leads the women’s general classification.

The final leg of the league will be held in May and will be a race divided over two days.
