Stephanie Desjardins’s prospects of continuing her fledgling career overseas received a boost last week after the La Salle starlet began a trial with Tjhazenajh Handball Club, from the Czech Republic.
Desjardins flew to the Czech Republic after receiving an official invitation to join the Czech top League club for a trial.
Tjhazenajh Handball Club are currently in the 12th position.
The 23 year old La Salle left back trained with the team.
Widely regarded as one of the most talented youngsters in Maltese handball, Desjardins has established herself as a first-choice player for La Salle this season, scoring an impressive 52 goals so far.
Desjardins also forms part of the ladies national team.
