I am voicing the concern of all the residents of P.P.Hili Street, Fontana, Gozo. Now that major road works are being carried out in Republic Street, more traffic is passing through this street in Fontana. A very real problem, however, is the speed with which some drivers zoom through with impunity. This residential area is frequented by young children as it feeds both the primary school at Vajringa St and the junior seminary just round the corner. Here is a tragedy waiting to happen. Why not install a speed camera to catch the culprits and to control the situation? I am sure the local council would approve such a measure.
