Malta’s under 17 squad gathered another three points to go top by beating Romania 2-1 yesterday.
Romania went ahead after only nine minutes with Andy Asandului but Anton Attard immediately equalised for Malta. Axel Xuereb put Malta ahead on the 26th to give Malta its second win from as many games.
Malta leads the tournament with six points followed by N. Ireland and Romania on three points whilst Liechtenstein have no points.
Tomorrow will be the final day of the tournament with another two matches.
Liechtenstein face Romania at 10am while Malta play Northern Ireland at 12.30pm, both at the Centenary Stadium, Ta’ Qali.
