The Floriana FC-William Amamoo saga is not yet over. In fact, The Malta Independent can now reveal that it will be FIFA to take a decision after the two sides accused each other of being in breach of contract.

In summer, Floriana FC had suspended the Ghanaian goalkeeper for 28 days for refusing to play the Super Cup match against Valletta FC. After that incident, Floriana said that the club had deemed that the player was in breach of contract and they also informed the MFA of their decision.

Since then, the Greens had also reported the goalkeeper to FIFA. He never played again for Floriana FC.

Now, it is reliably understood that Amamoo has also reported the Greens to FIFA.

Unconfirmed reports say that the Ghana goalkeeper is requesting FIFA to order Floriana FC to pay him 12 months salary for breach of contract and another payment for an extra 12 months for ‘terminating his contract without cause.’

Moreover, he has also requested FIFA, as well as UEFA, to ban the Greens from playing in the UEFA club competitions.
