The Bank of Valletta winter league resumes this evening at the Tal-Qroqq national Pool – the programme is spread over two days with matches being played today and tomorrow.

Today, the Neptunes-Sirens encounter will set the ball rolling at 6.30pm. It will be followed by the non-competitive game between Marsascala and the ASA Youth side.

Tomorrow, in the opening clash at 6.30pm, Valletta will be facing Exiles, while the most important clash will be the second on the card, that between San Giljan and Sliema.

At present, Neptunes are the leaders with maximum points – 12 – from four matches. They are followed by Sirens and Sliema on nine points each, San Giljan and Exiles six and Marsascala three. Valletta are at the bottom with no points.

Sliema and Marsascala have played a match more than the others.
