Yet again Hibernians Stadium, Paola will host a sparkling international as Malta strive to maintain or possibly improve their brilliant 42nd place in the IRB world rankings, against 38th placed Sweden.
The excitement and atmosphere will be positively tangible as the famous Malta supporters get behind our boys. Last time Sweden came, Malta pipped them 25-23 with the final kick of the match, although Sweden had their revenge last year - 24-13 at home.
This time Sweden come as Pool champions, guaranteed promotion, and Malta are pleased to be in the middle of the pool, therefore not having any costly extra play-off games to play, which fits in nicely with the long term policies of the MRFU and Director of Rugby Damian Neill.
As the Malta squad is usually smaller and lighter than most opposition, it is expected that they will be playing their renowned wide running, fast handling style to overcome the tough Swedes.
Neill has found yet another player, solid back rower Daniel Apsee who plays for Bridgend in the Welsh National League, who will add experience. Also Charlie Sammut returns after injury, so the back row should be a powerful influence.
Every running side needs a solid front row to anchor the ball production, and the Malta three will present a good bedrock in the face of a solid Swedish trio.
The Holloway brothers will combine at half back again, no doubt watched again by proud grandparents, Professor and Mrs Fenech.

The smaller nations love to play at Hibs Ground because Malta hosts the best event, with the best support and the best excitement, led by the superb South End Core.
