The first session saw Neptunes take a 3-1 lead through Aquilina, Stellini and Lanzon while Sirens replied through Borg. The second session also saw Neptunes shade it 2-1 with Sirens keeping the pace through Borg while Mercieca and Lanzon added the goals for Neptunes.

The third session was a see-saw affair which ended 2-2 after Neptunes had opened a five-goal lead but Charlie Zammit and Borg again made it a three goal game for the final session. However Neptunes reasserted their authority in the final session with goals by Stellini, Lanzon and Camilleri for a final scoreline of 10-6.
